This campaign presented Maybelline as an accessible brand with a diverse portfolio. The main challenge was reaching millennials and gen Z since these groups usually look for very different things. I bridged that gap with a style inspired by the early two thousands. Millennials connected with it through a sense of real nostalgia while gen Z saw it as a current trend.
As the director I worked with a clear and playful energy that helped the whole concept feel natural to both groups. The project also called for a thoughtful use of the budget which made each creative choice even more intentional. The campaign delivered strong results including a two percent increase in the price accessibility index and a six percent sales uplift compared to the plan.
